Every employer, no matter how large or small, how generous or strict, will eventually face the problem or difficult employee. It is the nature of working with humans. Having consistent, effective documentation and policies developed by human resources and administered by supervisors is essential to successful coaching, counselling, and success in litigation. This webinar provides you with the building blocks to develop a strong disciplinary/documentation system that is consistent, and as such has the ultimate result of both protecting the employer and producing an environment that is fair and desirable.

  • Disciplinary Policies and Procedures
  • The importance of Coaching and Counseling
  • How to document verbal and written warnings

In the ever-changing landscape of employment law, it is difficult for even the most diligent professional to keep up with the legal pitfalls in the employment relationship. While employees are our most valuable asset, they are also our biggest risk. Having a consistent and compliant discipline and documentation greatly reduces the risk of litigation and increases the likelihood of success if and when it occurs. This presentation will give supervisors, managers, and Human Resource Professionals the tools needed to survive in an uncertain and ever-changing minefield.

  • How to conduct the annual performance evaluation
  • How to effectuate a termination and reduce exposure

  • Supervisors
  • Human Resource Professionals
  • small to Mid-Size business owners and members of management

Julie provides labor and employment counsel that is outcome based. Before giving advice, she asks her clients what they want or needs as the outcome of their matter; then skillfully crafts a pragmatic, business-centric solution to the issue.

Julie actively navigates employers of all shapes and sizes through the legal pitfalls of the employment relationship from its inception at recruitment and hiring through the implementation of policies and procedures, and the conclusion of the relationship with the termination/separation process. When litigation becomes necessary, Julie aggressively advocates for clients in the areas of traditional labor and employment law, including but not limited to discrimination/retaliation cases, non-competition/non-solicitation enforcement, wage, and hour litigation, and employment and labor arbitrations.
